Rodeo & Friends

We went to the River City Roundup Rodeo in Omaha this weekend. Here is Miss Kingzlee at the rodeo (in the 'chute club')-it seems that the louder it gets, the better she sleeps!

We had lunch with friends Daena and Tim in the Old Market on Saturday. We also met my cousin Carla who bought Kingzlee her first Husker shirt.

We went to the doctor today and Kingzlee has gained 2 lbs and grown an inch since her last appt 3 weeks ago! She is obviously eating well!! Here she is lounging in her high chair.

After our doctor appt, we went to Lochland for lunch and Justin had to show off his daughter to all of the ladies playing cards. Can you say 'Proud Pappa'???

Tuesday, Kingzlee and I met Aunt Marci and Grandma Shar in Kearney. These are the pj's that Aunt Marci bought for Kingzlee.

Weekend update

Kingzlee turned one month old on Saturday! I am going to photograph her by the sheep each month so we can see her growth!!!
Saturday night we went to Josh Yost's wedding, Kingzlee joined us for the reception for an hour or so, Julie gave her love the whole time!!!

Friday night we went to Hultines and Blake Frink held her for a bit until he decided it would be more fun to go play!!!

Then it was Laif's turn to hold her, about the same amount of time! They were both so good and gentle with her.

Where have we been???

It has been a busy few days which is why I haven't updated lately. Sunday we had a PEO event that we attended with Kingzlee. Justin left us on Monday for John Deere meetings, he returned Wednesday night. So it was a busy few days for me handling her alone. Mom came on Tuesday and relieved me, which was wonderful. She fed her 3 times in a row which was quite liberating for me! I was also able to go to town and get some work and errands done which was a wonderful feeling!!! Today, Kingzlee and I went with Liz to Minden to view the exhibit at the Opera House by Hastings artists. Wonderful exhibit by the way-if you are in the area, you should definitely see it!

The biggest news though is the fact that Kingzlee slept through the night last night!!!! Hopefully it will become a habit!! It was refreshing especially since Monday night at midnight she went #2 through her diaper, pj's, and on me! And, Tuesday night she vomited (she had only spit up one time before) all down my chest at 2 in the morning!! So, her sleeping through the night was a very welcome change!

Weekend pics

Kingzlee had her first bottle of mom's milk on Saturday night. She drank it in under 2 minutes and was still hungry. We wonder, does her appetite take after that of Mom or Dad??? :-)

The Hultine boys came to see Kingzlee but were much more interested in Justin than the baby-Kingzlee, after all, cant drive a tractor or talk about cattle like Justin can!!!

We went to the neighbor's house for a cocktail party on Friday night. Gma Pam and Gpa Jack took charge of Kingzlee so that we could enjoy ourselves for the couple hours that we were there. By the end of the night, she had both fists covering her eyes which told us she was partied out!

Husker Harvest Days

So, we must be really bored-Kingzlee and I went to Husker Harvest Days with Dad yesterday. It is a large outdoor farm show!!! We were there from 1-7 so I must have somewhat enjoyed it or maybe it was just being out of the house and around adults! The highlight may have been hiding in the back of the John Deere booth while feeding her!! She was a trooper and didnt make a peep the entire time.

Grandparents Day!

It is Grandparents Day so we celebrated by taking Justin's parents, Grandparents and my Mom to Lochland for brunch. Also, GROW Nebraska was having a 'Taste of Nebraska' event there so we were able to enjoy that event in addition to brunch. Kingzlee decided she was hungry so we left in a hurry and didn't get any group photos. Here is Gma and Kingzlee after we returned home.

Grandma Shar came to Hastings Saturday night so we were able to get out for a bit with Andrea and Troy. I had about 1.5 hours (and one beer) before the dinner bell started ringing at home and I had to leave. Regardless, it was nice to get out of the house-in my stilettos and pre-pregnancy jeans-I almost felt human again!!!
