A February of Firsts!!!

We went to Minden to watch Cody play basketball-the only game we were able to attend this season. It made me kind of sad knowing that this is the last basketball game I will watch a nephew play-he is a senior!
Cheering for Cody
Kingzlee moved into a big girl bed this month! Our little girl is growing so fast!!! She does so well in it and stays in bed after she wakes and reads books until I come get her. I bought an alarm clock that glows when it is 'ok to wake' which has been helpful too!
We pushed it against the wall for now so she has less of a chance of rolling out. It covers one of the windows but works for the time being. It is black tufted leather with crystals in each tuft!
Kingzlee had her first party at a friend's home where I just dropped her off! That was a big Mommy moment! Of course she had a great time and didn't miss me! It was so nice of Alysse and her Mommy to have a tea party! I hear though that Kingzlee got into the flour while they were making cookies and put it on her arms like lotion!
When I went to pick her up, they were all dressed up-Kingzlee like a flapper! She was shoveling conversation hearts into Alysse's mouth because I don't let her eat them-what a good girl to obey even when I am not around! I guess she decided that if she couldn't have them that someone might as well enjoy them!
Kingzlee and Dad going to their first Father/Daughter dance at the Hastings Children's Museum! I guess they had a big night of dancing and eating cupcakes!
LOVES her Daddy!!!!
Kingzlee opening her Valentines gifts!
I made her a "K" Necklace.....
We gave her a huge horse from one of her favorite stores....tractor supply company!!!! She also received a new toothbrush and toothpaste from Daddy-I think that was actually the biggest hit!!!! Geez-all I got was a set of tools for my dremmel tool!
Another HUGE first in February....Justin and I went back to the mountains to snowboard ALONE! Grandma Shar kept Kingzlee in Gothenburg for the first time. It was good for Justin and I to get away and Kingzlee had a BIG time! They had a playdate with her friend Ava, cooked and ate a couple lunches with Aunt Marci, Uncle Mark and her cousins Cody and Travis, had a playdate with Beckett, went to church, went to coffee, etc, etc....

Well, Cinch is still with us! Since she was diagnosed with anemia we have been able to get it under control but then she had a reaction to one of her vaccines and now she has a huge lump on her shoulder. We had it aspirated and it is just a fatty tumor-she was really sore and didn't eat after that for a few days but now she is pretty much back to her old, grumpy self! Kingzlee helped Cinch and Concho celebrate their birthdays on the 27th with fake cupcakes!
Reading one of her favorite books, Pinkalicious, by the fire with Daddy!!!

Jackson Hole

We went to Jackson Hole in January and Kingzlee found the 'world's largest jackalope' along the way!!!!
And the world's largest jackalop dung! Maybe this is why, when she colored a picture in art class, that she just made a whole bunch of squiggles under the dog's tail and no where else!
Our first night in Jackson, we were at a nice restaurant (pictured above) and she kept staring at a blank wall and asking the question "what is that angel's name Mommy?" She was relentless and we didn't know what she was talking about since there was nothing on the wall. Pretty soon, I said "Is it Grandpa Virg?" and she said "YES!!!" "Hi Grandpa Virg" Then she put her hand out and said "Thank you!" I asked her what Grandpa Virg gave her and she said a card! Later, when it was time to leave, she said "Bye Grandpa Virg" and waved at the wall and on our walk home, she asked where Grandpa Virg went! It was pretty crazy and of course, I love the idea of Kingzlee knowing or seeing my Dad! And, as one of my friends said "you were in the mountains skiing, enjoying a good dinner and a drink-of course he was there!!!"

With Daddy on his board!

Kingzlee is not quite old enough for ski school so we just bought her some plastic skis and pulled her around.

At dinner our last night. Sara came along to babysit so that we could board. Kristin and Rodney flew out and joined us in Jackson and we enjoyed a day dog sledding (Kingz and Sara stayed behind) which was a very neat experience-Kingzlee will love it once she gets older.
Loving on 'Punky'
We went back home through Denver so we could see friends and customers. Here we are at lunch with the Mignerys.
