Sorry it has been a while since I last updated. We were in Europe the last two weeks of May and have been going like mad ever since. These are just photos from Mother's Day through this weekend. This last weekend we went to Valentine where I ran in the
Sandhills half marathon along with Sara and my cousin Michelle. It was a cold, windy, wet day and there was water across the road in 4 spots. This place it was so bad, we took our shoes and socks off! Even with all of the elements, it was the most fun 13.1 miles I have ever run!!!!!
We had to giggle at the
porta toilets along the course, they pulled them behind pick-ups. Looks like the wind took the toilet paper by the end!
Miss Sara is a
rockstar and won the
women's division of the half!!! My cousin and I are not quite as serious or talented (nor are/were we college athletes like Sara) and we had the guys deliver 'recovery drinks' about a quarter of a mile from the finish, here we are crossing the finish line!!!
It was a beautiful run through the
Sandhills on
Brownlee Road

The day after we returned from Europe, we were able to see Tyson & Nicole Butler and their little girl Sloan. Here is
