Vegas

We spent most of December in Las Vegas trying to make a baby....not as fun as it sounds! We met with  a cutting edge fertility Dr-Dr Sher. He and his staff are amazing. Unfortunately, we did not end up with a pregnancy but have 5 frozen embryos and plan to go back in March to transfer a couple and try to give Kingzlee a 'baby sister named Bob' as she says! Here is Dr Sher and his nurse Linda after the transfer. He was so nice to Kingz and always made her a balloon out of an exam glove and decorated it-she is holding one in this photo.
The morning of the transfer, Justin and Kingz went swimming. You can see her face in the sequence (starting with the photo below)-she first looked and me and frowned, then was pointing at me (in the above photo) saying "Mom you bought that new hat". I laughed pretty hard and know it is the end of me buying something without Justin knowing as she totally called me out.

We were able to meet my cousin Tom who lives in Las Vegas as well as his parents, my Aunt and Uncle, who were in town visiting. It was great to have lunch with them and catch up.
Of course, we enjoyed a lot of good food while in Vegas. Here we are having s'mores for dessert at Nine at the Palms. Kingz loved the bathrooms because they had tv screens in the stalls. On our way home, we stopped in a small town in Colorado and went into the restroom at a gas station-she asked where the tv screens were!
We went to the shark reef at Mandalay Bay-she was scared of the glass floor- though she did like to watch the sharks and rays swim underneath.
Another meal-this time brunch where we had some fondue. She informed us that the bread was for her and not us-and ate most of it herself!
We had lunch at Sushi Samba and she was very excited about the dessert that came with the kids meal!
They put me to sleep during egg retrieval but wheeled me into a room with Justin and Kingz as soon as it was over. Here is Kingz snuggling with me while I was still in lala land. I woke up asking about Dad then when I realized I hadn't died, I started asking Justin about a pair of shoes I wanted!!!
We were able to catch up with our friends, the Korkows, while in Vegas. Kingz had a big time with their little boy, Cactus.
Kingzlee and Cactus had a great time looking at all of the decorations at Bellagio. Here they were cracking up at a penguin that was peaking out of a window!

Kingz and Cactus walked through Bellagio holding hands. Whenever he would let go, she would tackle him and make him hold her hand.....great.

We had a condo with a full kitchen so we were able to enjoy breakfast in and not eat every meal out!

We schedule the in vitro cycle in December so we could also enjoy the NFR and festivities. We went two nights and Kingzlee really enjoyed it-especially the flag girls

Most days, we would leave the condo after breakfast and not return until evening. She took most of her naps in the stroller which worked well because trying to get her to nap in the condo was a battle

We stopped in Vail on our way to and our way home from Vegas.

Thanksgiving weekend

We went to my cousin Gregg and Von's home for Thanksgiving. Here is Kingz with Gregg, her second cousin Gabe and his Mom Jill.
Kingz, Gabe and Julia in the golf cart-very exciting toy! It is kind of sad that Gabe and Julia are really the closest thing she has to cousins her age and we are lucky if we see them once a year.
On Thanksgiving night, we went to Lincoln and stayed at the Embassy. Here is Kingzlee showing her cousin Cody and aunts how to use the ipad!

She was doing so well potty training that she received a prize that evening for staying dry all week-a nativity set!

And, of course, we have to pay to ride horses even though we have them in our pasture!
