September 2011

September started out with our nephew Travis getting married! Kingzlee was the flower girl-here she is at the rehearsal with Aunt Marci (mother of the groom!)

Kingzlee and the ring bear practicing their dance moves at the front of the church!

Aunt Kristi and Uncle Bruce came home for the wedding-loves her Aunt Kristi!

Kingzlee had her hair done for the wedding. She sat so well and loved every minute of it!

Walking with Uncle Mark to the park for photos

Giving Beckett love

With the groom-her cousin Travis

Sneaking off to the playground at the park during photos

I was so proud of her! She was such a big and brave little girl going down the aisle and made sure that Beckett kept moving forward!

She stood pretty well during the ceremony as well-such a big girl!

Aunt Marci gave her a prize for being so good, a vet kit. It was perfect as they are two of her favorite things-dogs and shots!!!!

Tearing up the dance floor

She would have danced all night had we let her-she was a tired little girl by the time we left (which was only 9pm).

The day after the wedding, we caught the last performance of the rodeo-she did the stick horse grand entry again this year.

On labor day, we just relaxed and rode Sarge!

"Thank you for the ride, Sarge!"

Riding with an audience of little animals!

Daddy herding Kingz and Sage-the herding stick is quite a source of entertainment

Kingzlee is not going to preschool this fall as I don't want her to have 3 years of preschool. So we are in several activities including two dance classes, art class, and gymnastics. This was her first night of dance. Parents are not allowed to watch except for 'observation week' twice a semester.

She says she likes tap the best-I suppose because the shoes make noise!

We had to stop by Husker Harvest Days to take our annual photo. Kingzlee and I are a lot bigger than previous years!!!

Being a 'rodeo queen' - the stick horse is her flag!

Mommy went a little overboard with Missoni for Target goodies!

We went to the Washington vs Nebraska game-the only one Kingzlee and I will make it to this year

While Daddy went to Wyoming for the Husker game, we enjoyed the Hastings College homecoming parade

With her Mimi!

More fun outside with the herding stick!

August 2011

Kingzlee had fun cheering on the Industrial Irrigation Softball team this summer! She is in love with Jay and Alek!

Enjoying time in the boat at "Grandma Shar's Lake"

Practicing for THREE!

She loves to tube!

We had fun growing and picking all kinds of goodies out of our garden this year

We attended a parade downtown where Justin rode with the rodeo committee. She had to wear her boots and had to ride Sarge afterward!

LOVES to ride Sarge!

Sage is getting too big to hold!

June brought the best birthday gift-a Doctors coat and kit! She even had to wear it when she went to a Dr appointment with me

Chilling on the deck with her new friend Lyla

Birthday girl all ready for her third birthday party at the lake!

A neighbor let us use his slides......

and they were a big hit!!!!!

The pinata was also a big hit!!!

The day after her 'friends' party, we celebrated her birthday with both sides of the family

I make her a candle holder each year-this year she wanted a purple crown

A couple of her 3 year old photos!

The day after her big birthday weekend at the lake, we headed to San Diego/Carlsbad for some fun in the sun to celebrate some more! Here she is playing on the beach on her actual birthday!

Our friends, the Kraus family, who live in the area met us on the beach. Kingz and Kendyl had a big time!

Kingzlee giving Kendyl a thank you hug for her birthday gift!

The Hermes family arrived later that day and joined us for Kingzlee's birthday dinner!

Birthday love for Daddy!

We spent a day at Sea World-here she is waiting for the Shamu show to begin

And more fun on the beach!

One afternoon, we went to Del Mar racetrack where our friend, Rick,  is the race secretary. He spoiled us-we just wish we had more time there-it was so beautiful!

Kingzlee showing off the horse Rick gave us and posing with well known jockey Joe Talamo

We spent a day at Legoland-I was having quite a few braxton hicks so decided to rent a scooter. PURE HEAVEN. I think I will be doing this even when I am not pregnant-the best way to get around a big park! :-)

Kingzlee and Daddy enjoyed several rides.

Our pool overlooked the beach-so beautiful

Daddy found a star fish on the beach!

Stopping to smell the flowers on our last night, after a week of fun in sunny California!
