So, if life would have gone as planned (if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans, right), I would have been posting photos from our trip to NYC over this holiday. We were to leave on Wednesday and return home yesterday (Sunday). We were to stay with my good friend Kristy, her husband and young boys. Unfortunately, as we were arriving at the Omaha airport on Wednesday, Kristy called to tell us the tragic news that her father passed away unexpectantly. So, needless to say, we didnt make it to NYC and instead saw Kristy and her family back in Lincoln yesterday for her Dad's visitation. Please keep Kristy and her family in your prayers. I know how it feels to lose a Dad and my heart breaks for her. Fortunately, our faith brings us comfort in knowing that her Dad is in a beautiful place and we will both get to be with our Dads again someday.
On the flip side, we decided to stay in Omaha for NYE and were able to see 5 different sets of friends while we were there. An unexpected blessing!
